Whitney Thompson: About Time A BBW Wins American Next Top Model

Not sure whether we can call Whitney Thompson a Big Beautiful Woman (BBW), because she is a size 10 in a world of models with tinny sizes from negative to zero. Whitney Thompson is a natural beauty when put beside anorexia girls, look like a big sized girl. But isn't her size what 90% of America's women are at?

Healthy Size not Big Sized

It is about time that a 'Normal' sized girl starts to win the American Next Top Model. She is a great role model for our generation of teenagers who have been trying to purge every meal that they eat in order to stay below a size worthy of being labeled as "being below the poverty line". We are in a real world where women are not artificially thin and do not eat any food. In this world that we live in, Macdonald's is our staple and women are beautiful when they are of size 8 to 12.

Whitney Thompson will hopefully set the stage for the world's model to stop starving themselves and start to look healthy. That's right! She is not a big sized girl but a healthy sized babe. We should start ogling at healthy sized women and not bamboo-thin waif.

Monetary Wise Choice of Model

At the same time, with France's ban of extremely thin models, Whitney Thompson's win is also a wise move by the judges. The judges displayed a wisdom that is suggestive of a timely change of
fad in the modeling industry. Whitney Thompson is the right look that the modeling world is looking for and not only will she be America's Next Top Model, she could very well be the World's top model.

If Whitney Thompson had not won, a waif like girl would not be the real top model. She could never be exportable to the European market where healthy sizes are the current fad. Stop and think about this. Is the America Next Top Model just about what the models can do on camera or stage or should they be judged by what the current American public wants to see?

I for one am glad that healthy sizes are the new fad. :)
